roadwarrior setup not working for me

I followed the 'Road-Warrior' setup guide here: https://docs.opnsense.org/manual/how-tos/ipsec-road.html

but cannot connect via either an iPad or Android device.   
The iPad says "negotiation with the VPN server failed" while the Android says "unsuccessful"

I have double and triple checked all the settings.

My log says:

Not sure if the log is telling me there is a critical error or not?

Any ideas where I may be going wrong?

got it to work.

I changed so many things back and forth I'm not sure what it was, but it was most likely my password or shared key containing a special character ( "\" ) and or being miskeyed.
