OpnSense in AWS

I am looking at putting OpnSense in AWS.
Looks like I need a support subscription? I think EUR299 per year?
Are there then per hour charges in AWS as well? This is not clear.

Not much information on this it seem OpnSense in AWS is handles in an odd way.

I think is Azure you can just launch an instance and pay per hour charges? Why so difficult for AWS?
