having to reboot opnsense router to regain WAN access

This has been working flawalessly for a year now.  I updated Opnsense Saturday morning, and now I losing WAN access after about an hour.  LAN still works.  Rebooting router fixes it.

The hardware is
QOTOM Mini PC Q555G6 Q575G6 with 7th Core i5-7200U/i7-7500U

The router is on:
OPNsense 21.1.8_1-amd64
FreeBSD 12.1-RELEASE-p19-HBSD
OpenSSL 1.1.1k 25 Mar 2021
