Suricata Alerts - Can They Be Cleared

I have alerts that I have either blocked or allowed and cleared. Can I now delete these, so I see what is truly coming in?

I had an issue with the alert.log file. It was deleted and replaced after 1 or 2 days, though it was set to autorotate at 7 days with a 10 MB limit.
