Hello All,
Upgrading from 20.7.8 to 21.1
When I try to install/fetch 21.1, I get a "Failed, signature invalid."
I tried;
  From Gui
  From direct command line
  Changed mirrors (all have I have tried have the same behaviour)

I takes a very long time before producing the error .............
I have forced a reboot during this process and it did not return to working state. Hard boot brought it back up again.

So before I just start from scratch, any suggestions?

Hi,

Hmm, it means your sets download is mangled and therefore verification doesn't work. Maybe a proxy running in your network.

The problem will likely reappear even if you reinstall.

Cheers,
Franco

no proxy that I know of
Traceroute 8.8.8.8
my router
my ISP
Google

no other IPs

Any other thoughts?

No, really not. That's all anyone else can do for you since this is a local issue.

Cheers,
Franco

Hi there,

I've got the same problem without any other messages.
***GOT REQUEST TO UPGRADE: maj***
Fetching packages-21.1-OpenSSL-amd64.tar: .............................................
... failed, signature invalid
***DONE***

I've tried with two different sources ("WJComms, UK" and default): one is loading a tar file rather other is tgz file.

With SSH console, I've first validated minor update before choosing 21.1 option.

Any others ideas?  ::)

...i would safe the config and start over with a fresh install...
kind regards

Hi,

I have different OPNsense installations, on two of these i had this probleme some months ago and reinstalled from scratch.

One of that two now is representing the problem, there's nothing but the ISP connection, and the two firewalls are under two different ISPs.

Any idea on how to solve?
