[SOLVED] Lost access to Web UI

Edit: When I reset opnsense to factory settings, the LAN and the WAN interfaces got swapped. Was able to connect to the web UI via the WAN port and then swap them back.
-----------
Hello,
I'm very new to all this. Apologies if any of this is silly. I have a software engineering background, but not a lot of experience with networking hardware/software.
I just purchased a Protectli vault preinstalled with opnsense (coreboot bios). At one point in the last 6 hours I was able to connect my macbook to the LAN port and access the web UI. I was trying to enable OPT1 and something went wrong. The page refreshed and since then I have not been able to access the web UI anymore.
When I look at my network prefs, I see that the DHCP is unable to assign an IP. My Mac self assigns an IP. I tried several different things. I connected the protectli to a monitor and logged in to the command line interface. Tried setting a different IP for the LAN interface. Restarted a bunch of times during all that. Nothing seems to be helping. Not sure where I went wrong, but I'm just not able to bring the web UI back. I even tried restoring the oldest backup from the menu.
Any help will be appreciated. I'm trying to connect it to the WAN and switch my existing wireless router into access point mode.
This is what I was trying to follow -
https://protectli.com/kb/basic-soho-wireless-network/
Thank you!
