I moved from pfsense and wanted an adblocking solution.

1. I tried Sensei - In configuration i always get netmap issue. Possible that i as use modified kernel driver
2. PiHole - Dont want to setup another device
3. DNSCrypt - Installed but not able to make it work

help ?

Hi,
I am using Bind as DNS server which is available as plugin and configured dns blocking in Bind - easily setup in the Interface

I use unblound and its' pretty easy to configure it, just select which lists you want.

How does this compare to using adguard or pihole?

I am a big believer in belt and suspenders approach to this. No one solution works 100%. I use Unbound to do my first level of blocking. I then use Pi-Hole for the second level of blocking. Lastly I use a combination of uBlock Origin and EFF Privacy Blocker on my PCs. I have found this to combination of tools to be the best all around solution set.

Well I like to combine blocklists in firewall (Unbound or DNScrypt-proxy, Bind works also) and then ghostery plus NoScript in Firefox.
