Syslog-NG

I setup syslog-ng to run instead of syslogd, but yet syslogd is still running. Should that be the case?

That doesn't make much sense. There is no "set up syslog-ng" button.

Well then I am confused...
Please see first attachment, which shows my dashboard and both are active. Second please see second attachment, which is my RC.conf file showing syslog-ng to yes and syslogd to no. I thought setting syslogd to no would mean it would not start?

syslog forwards to syslog-ng ... it will run in parallel for a bit of time (or longer).
Dont rely on rc.conf as unbound or openvpn are also not controlled by rc

Ok no worries...but I did follow the directions when the 19.7.5 update was applied and it says to disable syslogd in RC.conf and enable syslog-ng.

Yes...the instructions came up as the UI finished the update. I followed those instructions.
