opnsense 18.7x hangs on db. prompt after reboot

Hello,

After the upgrade to 18.7 the system hangs on db. prompt upgrade to version 18.7.1_3 didn't fix the problem.
After several reset or reboots the system runs again.

What to do to fix this ?

Please give me a hint to solve this problem.

Does this boot sometimes and sometimes not? There is nothing known that would fix this... it seems to be related to the VGA device in some way, maybe a serial-only setup works better if that is possible in your host configuration.

thanks for the replay.

Yes sometimes it boots most of the times it hangs on the debug window. when the system is stuck into a debug window a reboot or sometimes more are needed to get any further.
Opnsense seem when booted to run without any problems.

The system is running on vmware esxi 6.5

I have more Opnsense in the same VM configuration on the same VM server running (whiteout this problem)

Maybe I have to tweak the default VM graphic options to overcome this problem.
