Good morning.

Not sure if I posted in the right thread, but couldn't find this when searching.

I'll make this quick and simple.

I have a workstation with 3 nic cards, 2 LANS and 1 WAN. Using it as a DHCP server.
I was playing around with VLANS, and accidentally changed the the LANS settings with vlans. I am not sure now what the ip address of those two interfaces are, and so I can't reach the gui.
I am now getting APIPA on from both cards and am unable to access the gui to change my settings.
What can I do to access the opnsense router settings?

Cheers.

Hi Georgi27, I don't know how to change it with a shell.

However, you can try to restore (13) your settings to before your edit.  ;)

Good luck, mark

Hey qinohe,

Any idea what the "undo" command would happen to be? I'm freaking out here haha...

Undo?  :o no idea, could you explain what you mean or refer to?

Greets mark

edit: Oh, I guess you meant literally, well like I said get access to your cosole or SSH terminal.

Log in as root and choose number 13 to restore to certain config presented to you as a list.

Choose one and restore.  ;)

AH OK, I get what you're saying sorry.

My issue right now is that I'm not sure how to reach the console screen, I'm going to guess it needs root/sudo access to get to that screen?
Also, not sure the sysadmin had set up ssh or wtv to connect to it outside of using the actual workstation or through the web interface.

I'm actually new to the company, first week in. So I'm freaking out ahhah.. ha....

Yes, indeed you do need to be root.
Anyway, I see you dove in changed things the admin is gone and of course you made backups?
If so no problem otherwise someone else may have some solution but I don't ..

Good luck, mark  ;)
