Installed Plugins GUI Request

Would like to see the installed plugins at top of the list.  Maybe split out into two tables.  Installed and Available.

Anybody else?

Hi there,

Hmm, either two tables on the tab or split tabs or a search box. I am unsure which way to go... let's see...

Plugins have been growing so it's sensible that we do something for clarity.

The packages tab is all installed packages, the updates tab needs to be ordered like it is to give a frame of reference for the installed version.

Moving all installed plugins to the top would be a good first step as you suggested? As a second step I'd rather have a search box than split the tables (keeping the one table per tab approach).

Cheers,
Franco

Single tab split table was my thought.

Zooming into the not so distant future... what if we have a filter box on that page, will it filter both tables? Where would that filter box be? Do we designate a table header for both tables? Can we remove the "(installed)" annotation and bold markup in the installed case completely?

The choices :)

Separate filters probably overkill at this point.

How about to the right of the tabs, at the right edge of page?

If going the two table path then think yes.  Have to have some way to indicate what the contents of the table is.

If there is some sort of visual delineation between installed and not install.  Such as different table for each.
