HTTPS support may be in 16.7, but we haven't decided yet. squidguard support we won't add, we are going to do the management for blacklists with our own code.
What we need is a list of features that squidgard offers that are currently not possible with our setup.

Very late to this old thread I realize but Squidguard creates databases that are much faster and less resource intensive than trying to parse millions of entries off of plain text files. The best tip to quickly have it create the databases is to download the blacklists to a TMPFS mounted directory, decompress them there, let squidguard create the databases while still in TMPFS and then copy that to the working directory.
Too many firewall distros are fabulous except with their implementation of urlfilter if it works at all. Squid redirects using only directories of plan text lists of urls just doesn't cut it. So the feature it has that non Squidguarded urlfilter implementations have is that it actually works with minimal CPU choking.
