During the latest upgrade of my firewall I noted the following. Upgrade was successful and the firewall is processing traffic.

Nothing to worry about. Small glitch in the matrix that sorted itself out during the final steps of the update (step is 28/87).

Well, to be honest - and this is not really a good idea - I lost interest in most error messages during updates. They appear so often that I now ignore them - and wait 5 minutes if the remote machine, 250km away, comes back to life anyway.

Of all the updates that I have done from OPNsense 24 to 25 to 26 and everything in between there were ZERO ERRORS so my guess is you guys are having strange connection or DNS issues :)

My guess - it often depends on your browser. Using LibreWolf like me might not be the best idea if you update OPNSense.. *shrug*
But error messages starting with "Danger" - well, that just feels like your forgotten uncle from Nigeria sending you millions of Dollars..

Main browsers here are :
- Pale Moon @ Windows + Linux
- LibreWolf @ Linux

I can't remember which I have used the most so I will try to remember to do the next update with LibreWolf because I know the last one was done with Pale Moon :)

LOL! ^_^

@Zeitkind context matters, especially for a completely different report than the OP's, because:

community/26.1/26.1.7:o ui: trap generic error popup for specific API URLs such as /api/core/firmware/upgradestatus when it adds no value and known to be unstable

Which means when you are on 26.1.7 or later you won't see this pop-up ever again. I don't think people have really noticed, but the frequent reports have stopped flowing in.

Franco

** UPDATE **

About this :
Quote from: nero355 on June 14, 2026, 12:27:50 AMI will try to remember to do the next update with LibreWolf
LibreWolf pretty much does the same thing that Pale Moon does and does not scroll, however I think Pale Moon does it a bit better because at least I can see the KERNEL UPDATE part before the Reboot happens :)

This was from 26.1.9 to 26.1.10 by the way!

The scroll is fixed in 26.1.10, but since the update code is running on 26.1.9 it's still buffering jumpily.
