DEC2700 issues

dec2700 messed up after sending an update request from our management box to one of our customers
decided to wipe and install fresh

have used usb and installed the opnsense image, is this the best option or is there a specific image for these boxes?
the serial usb stops after it is booted up, have tried adjusting settings under system, settings, admin, no joy, how to resolve?
have factory reset it several times and it turns off (does not reboot) and requires pulling the power cable out to get it working, is this normal?

Serial is the image to use, USB method is correct.

Did you pay attention to the section on legacy UART vs. UEFI serial, specifically?
