Another smooth upgrade experience

Just upgraded to 26.1 and it went smoothly as always.

After upgrading, I removed some stale configurations of old plug-ins and uninstalled the legacy ISC plug-in, as I had switched to Kea a few releases ago.

For the foreseeable future, I plan to migrate to the new rule interface, as I'm pretty eager to test the Divert IPS mode, given the potential beneficial impact it may have on overall system performance.

All that being said, I know I say this every time I perform an upgrade, but I really want to congratulate the team for this upteenth smooth experience. I deal with firewalls for a living, and such smooth transitions between major releases are never to be taken for granted.

Your level of dedication and the quality of your work are simply insane!

Also a smooth upgrade experience for me.  Upgraded my lab firewall (virtual on proxmox) on release day and then upgraded my hardware firewall (Protectli VP2430/8GB) this morning without issue.

My hardware appliance took a little bit longer than I expected to reboot and I was getting pretty nervous but it came back up!

I am a pretty new OPNsense user and have been using it full time since November (25.7) and immediately started using Automation rules vs the now legacy rules.  I only had to migrate 4 rules between the two firewalls.  I love the Automation/New Rules and category grouping, it really helps me visualize traffic flow much easier so I don't duplicate rules or have them out of order.

Great work OPNSense team!

I also just updated. 25.7.11_9 to 26.1_4 and all seems good. I migrated my rules to Rules(New) and it seems ok. I use Proxmox Virtual Environment 9.1.4. I was worried when it took awhile to reboot, but made a cup of tea and it had rebooted when I returned.

Thank you OPNsense Team for all your work!
