default firewall rule with source (self)

Hello - there are a few firewall was in the automatically generated rules section with source (self).


Does this mean the firewall itself? The host the traffice is coming from? Something else?
I am mostly wondering out of curiousity.

I could not find an explaination in any documentation and it doesn't seem to be something you can use on a rule I create.

Yes - this is traffic originating on the firewall.
