Hi community,

I'm trying to run my OpnSense Device at my HomeLab. But i have a big problem. No public ip! No internet! No PPPoE auth!

What i tried?

1) I bridged ETHWAN at the ISP Modem. No DHCP, No Firewall, nothing. And i connected ISP LAN port to igc0 (MY Wan Port on OpnSense)

2) I completely removed ISP Modem, i made direct connection between ONT to OpnSense. Still no luck

I shutdown devices, wait 30 mins, reboot.
Tried mac clonning to my ISP Modem.

None of worked. What am i doing wrong? Can you check my screenshots?

And logs:

tcpdump -npi igc0_vlan35 pppoed
-> PPPoE PADI [Host-Uniq 0x8.....] [Service-Name]

Do you have instructions from your ISP how to configure it? What are the instructions and what is the modem you get from your ISP? Is VLAN 35 necessary and MAC cloning, according to your ISP?
Deciso DEC740

If by "ISP modem", you mean your ISP router and that is separate from your ONT, the "MAC cloning" against it is useless. You would have to use MAC cloning against the ONT to make your ISP think that its own router is still connected.

I would try to rule out your ISP router by using PPPoE over VLAN 25 and cloning the MAC of your ISP router's WAN interface.
