Site to Site WG VPN Question

I have a number of client to site WG VPN connections in use. Each site location has its own /24 that I have allocated for these type connections. Now I would like to setup some site to site connections. In reading some tutorials it shows that the WG IPs used for the sites should be from the same IP subnet. Is this correct?
