Network troubles with some online games

I'm a bit of an opnsense noob so please forgive me. Ever since I switched to opnsense I've been having some trouble with playing some games online. At first I blamed it on just being old games (I tried to play endless legends, but only I couldn't connect to the server). But now I've been having problems with other games too. Factorio says it can't get my external IP address when I open  a server in game, and people that connect have huge network latency. I also have been having connection issues with path of exile. I'm not really sure what I'm hunting for here, but does this sound familiar to anyone? I tried opening a port on opnsense for factorio, but that didn't fix the problem. I also opened a port fort Path of Exile, and that DID fix the problem.
