reset after configuration is damaged

Hi,
I have to reset to default the opnsense because after the last updates and several tries to restore the functionality, the system doesn't work almost anymore (wireguard, dhcp,.others...).
If i restore the system to default and than restore the backupped configuration (while the system was properly working) it is enough to remove the problems OR should I reset and restore all the settings manually?
Thanks

Perform a fresh install and restore the saved configuration.

Hi, instead of a fresh install it is also ok to restore everything to the default using the dedicated command? Thank you

In the end the problem was some kind of corruption in the GW group, that remained also after the restoring of the backup. Creating a new one and with a different name solved the problem.
