How to hide public IP Address for a Static IP Internet Connection?

Hello,
I'm fairly new to OPNSense and Networking in general. So I apologize in advance for any basic questions.
I have an internet connection for which I have paid extra to get a static IP. I need this since I'm having issues with 'Strict/Moderate' NAT type while gaming. I have got my games working with 'Open' NAT type with this static IP internet and UPnP. But for safety reasons, I don't want my static public IP exposed whenever I'm using the internet for browsing, streaming etc. I have tried setting up NordVPN and Cyberghost VPN servers via OpenVPN on OPNSense to hide/change my IP address that is visible to the public. But these VPN servers come at a cost of speed and high ping. I'm wondering what is the best way to hide my IP address without losing any speed or increased latency? (Proxy Servers perhaps? If so, can someone guide me how to set it up on OPNSense?)

You'll need a third party which relays your traffic. VPN, Tor, proxy, ... This comes at a cost, be it money, reduced throughput, higher latency, reduced MTU or whatever. WireGuard with a nearby high-performance endpoint might be your best option.
By the way, static / dynamic IP is unrelated to the NAT type. You probably had CGNAT before switching to a static public address?
Cheers

Hey @Maurice,
Thank you for the suggestion. Just to get started in that path, I found a couple of articles online that helped me setup an OpenVPN server on google cloud which I can use to mask my IP. I created that instance closest to my actual location for best results but for some reason I get only 50mbps download speed. I might be missing something here coz google's documentation suggests that I can get upto 2gbps of bandwidth with the config I selected. But anyways, can anyone suggest what the best VPS providers are who offer good speed and bandwidth allocation? (I have a 1gbps internet connection)
Sorry for the putting it in a confusing way. My ISP has strict NAT on their end which I had no control over. So, no matter what I did, I was never able to achieve an 'Open' NAT type. But they offer Static IP for a premium and under that plan, they don't enforce strict NAT on their end. So I believe this is specific to my ISP. So, its either Static IP + Open NAT or Dynamic IP + Strict NAT.
