Is there a outline of how to configure opnsense from the console

Greetings
I have access to the console on opnsense - - - having a bear of a time
trying to get access from either my network or from a little laptop
that I have. So rather than configuring opnsense from the web portal
is there a recipe for configuring most everything from the shell?
(I've tried looking but haven't been able to find such a 'cheat sheet'.)
Please advise.
TIA

In short, no. The distribution is intended to be used after basic config, from the UI.
Not all functions have had their APIs developed, hence the need for UI.
