Gateway monitoring statistics without acting/reacting to failure

Is there a way to uncheck "Disable Gateway Monitoring" for a single gateway scenario, so that I can see loss numbers and have the quality RRD graphs and stats available....but also always assume it is UP? I do not want to failover to nothing (I only have 1 gateway) or take any action whatsover, I simply want dpinger running with the stats available for viewing at a later date.

I am guessing not now that I am looking at the code... it looks like this is how it was done (quite a long time ago) in pfsense, so probably would want to do something with similar functionally https://github.com/pfsense/pfsense/commit/f396d2b715b27312c9bc056b3423db8198f7d52a

Although the alarm script is triggered if you don't have default gateway switching enabled or gateway groups in use nothing really happens either way.
