I have two of those CRS309 switches, they work pretty good, I did just upgrade one of them to a larger 20 port SFP+ Mikrotik switch. Just one thing to think about if you expect hard usage on these switches, not all of them are "nonblocking". The bigger version I bought is about half bandwidth (some of all ports x2), but I don't really expect that I'll be filling every port and running them full out. I jammed 8 of them with 1gbps copper SFP modules so I know I won't get too close to the maximum throughput.

Just a note to check them before you buy if you have a heavy workload. I think the CRS309 is nonblocking, but I'd need to check to make certain.
Also use a DAC when possible, they are lower power than optical and certainly lower power than 10gbe copper.
