considering to migrate to OPNsense

OPNsense users, developers, et alia:
I am running pfSense and am wondering are there any scripts or mechanisms to assist in a conversion from pfSense to OPNsense?
Thanks!

Hello
You could try standing up a opnsense and see if the config from pfsense works. Given opn started in 2015, it is reasonable to concur the projects have thoroughly diverged in framework.
They are both (now) based on FreeBSD. Any custom scripts should work on either or with little modification. I'm sure it's possible to manually configure opnSense to be functionally equivalent to pfSense.
Then you can compare performance and feature sets.
