Rename certificates

Is it possible to rename certificates instead to create new ones?

You can't change the CN of a certificate without having it signed again. That's fundamental.

I understood his question to be about the cert identifier used within OPNsense, not any of the cert contents. You cannot change that, either - though it would be technically possible.
