Hi there,
Has anyone being able to setup Bell Fibe connection bypassing their provide HomeHub 3000 using SFP converter? I tried setting up VLAN 35 and on one of the interfaces and set it to PPOE but I am not getting any public IP, any thoughts, suggestions would be appreciated.

I have Bell Fibe in Canada and did not need to use an sfp converter. I simply plugged my nic from opnsense into the lan port of the router and in opnsense setup pppoe. This is quite elegant as it does not disrupt the TV part, nor disable the router in case of a fault and bell want to reset it and check your line etc. The Opnsense gets a different public IP so in effect you get an extra public IP for dedicated use for what you want to do without having a "special setup" bell wont support.
