System: Diagnostics: Activity checkbox use?

What is the purpose of the checkbox on the page System: Diagnostics: Activity?  The only button for an action is refresh and that is for the page.  If it is for a different reason, there are no explanations nor buttons to click.

Also found the same issue in Services: DNSCrypt-Proxy: Configuration.

Anyone have information on this?
