VLAN Config
«

Hello all,
IN the attached screenshot you will see my vlans configured over a 3 port LAG. The first 5 in the list were setup when I was building the firewall. The last one I just added this evening. What is confusing me is that the last one's device name is vlan01 where the others were named lagg0_ and the actual vlan number I wanted.
Why is this happening?
Thanks,
Steve

This is related to the OPNSense versions which since has been correct.
On another note, you want your LAG to always be in even numbers.

So I should rename my LAG from 0 to say 2? Second what do you mean its been corrected? I am running 22.1.7_1 and I tried to create this new vlan under this revision.

The naming of e.g. lagg0_vlan1 has been changed to a dynamically allocated number. This lead to a worse user experience in the UI because VLAN tags and parent interfaces could not be easily seen when managing VLANs.
This has been fixed by a UI improvement as far as I know.
The initial reason for the change was, that interface names are limited in length and as soon as QinQ comes into play are bound to break with a meaningful naming scheme like we had in the past.
So all newly created VLANs will simply be named vlanX. Don't worry, that's intentional and fine.
