[SOLVED] Random crashes of hardware appliance

I have the following router purchased from Applianceshop.eu about an year ago. Since we are using it in production it shows an odd behaviour that I am not able to track - the router just freezes randomly. All of its functions are dead when this happens, however I can still ping its IP addresses. I regularly update the OPNSense version but this has no effect. I actually don't think that the problem is in OPNsense, but rather in the hardware appliance.  I have used OPNSense with other devices without any similar issues. The problem is that I am not sure who is actually supposed to support this device. Currently it is running 16.1.3. It usually happens at least once a month but when it happens, it can reoccur within a couple of minutes after this. I didn't see anything suspicious in the logs, but I would be grateful if someone could help me diagnose the problem somehow. Attached is the dmesg.boot if it helps.

You can always contact our company (Deciso / Applianceshop) for support on issues regarding our hardware, OPNsense should function perfectly on your device, but you may also contact me directly as well (ad at project domain).
The dmesg doesn't provide a lot of additional data concerning the freezes, maybe you can send me some additional log files from around the time the machine stopped responding.

It's a bit odd the machine is still reachable via ping, if it physically crashed I would expect it to be unreachable at all. You may check the machines temperature, although if it really was too hot it would probably shut down.

The machine comes with an integrated memtest option using the bios, if you can miss the machine for a couple of hours you could perform a memtest over that timespan to exclude (or pinpoint) memory issues.

Today I received the device back, it has been serviced. A faulty ground connection was the issue. It really does sound reasonable providing the symptoms described.
