This is a good point.
I did wounder about this? Does the device still have a IP address and accessible in bridged mode?

Can’t speak for that particular modem/router but usually they do, just a different IP and often with reduced settings available

Ok so ive given up. I think ill go a wireless 4G route instead as I think its a line issue. Im getting a whopping 400kpbs down and 180kbps up! yes, you heard correctly.
So I put my phone on USB tether, plugged into my NUC, opened OPNSense and added a WAN connection with the new interface that came up and boom! I have internet through OPNSense and a S10 on 4G.
My question is, will all traffic be sent to OPNSense for handling like port forwarding and IPSec traffic etc? If so I think this is a route I will go down as I am rural and 400kbps to MAX 2MB on a good day and not lockdown is the best im going to get on copper.
