Restarting Opnsense from fail safe state after power outage

I use opnsense v.19.1.7 with nut in netclient mode. Nut in netclient mode connects to my synology diskstation. In case of power events the diskstation will pass them also to the opnsense.
Last friday short time after I left my home for a couple of days, a power outage for more than one hour occured in my village. After 10 minutes in ups mode my diskstation switched to fail safe state to either wait for the ups run out of power or an event which shows that power is back again. In the latter case the diskstation triggers a system reset. In both cases the diskstation boots up to normal state after power is back. That works fine.
But the opnsense triggers only a gracefully shutdown in case of an event. So the problem is, the opnsense was powered off the whole weekend and I was not able to access my file server via VPN.
Is it possible to implement support for different ups events also in opnsense?
