Ditching pfSense - Doesn't work properly

I bought the pfSense SG-1000 after searching for a long time before deciding on pfSense. All reports were glowing.
I got the firewall specifically for throttling xbox and scheduling. All I can say is FAIL.

https://forum.netgate.com/topic/134145/blocking-scheduling-not-quite-working/16
The result for me is many many lost hours and a firewall that doesn't firewall.
My questions are does this work properly in OPNSense and can I install it on the SG-1000 to replace pfSense?
If I can't get this working I'm going to get a USG:

Let me know your thoughts.
Many Thanks
