Title: Ditching pfSense - Doesn't work properly
Post by: SovereignMan on December 22, 2018, 06:51:23 pm
I bought the pfSense SG-1000 after searching for a long time before deciding on pfSense. All reports were glowing.

I got the firewall specifically for throttling xbox and scheduling. All I can say is FAIL.

The result for me is many many lost hours and a firewall that doesn't firewall.

My questions are does this work properly in OPNSense and can I install it on the SG-1000 to replace pfSense?

If I can't get this working I'm going to get a USG: https://www.ubnt.com/unifi-routing/usg/ (https://www.ubnt.com/unifi-routing/usg/)

Let me know your thoughts.

Many Thanks

SG 1000 is ARM based, so it wont work with OPNsense for now ... Sorry
