Web Proxy Filtering and Caching / Squid does not start
October 13, 2021, 12:49:48 AM
Hi,
I looked for the solution to this problem but I don't seem to find the solution.

Here is the error message:

sudo squid -k debug -f /usr/local/etc/squid/squid.conf
2021/10/12 23:33:45| FATAL: failed to open /var/run/squid/squid.pid: (2) No such file or directory
    exception location: File.cc(190) open

I've tried to edit squid.conf
But it only find these two file

find / -name squid.conf
/usr/local/etc/squid/squid.conf
/usr/local/opnsense/service/templates/OPNsense/Proxy/squid.conf

Neither of these have line

debug_options ALL,1 33,2 28,9

Also both file says that they are auto generated.

I would appreciate some help

Hi
I'm confused with port forwarding, I've read up and it worked in the beginning. I've made too many changes and it is a live system, so I can't mess around too much.
It doesn't work now.
I need to access an http server from outside (warn) and also internally as well.
It has fixed IP address on the LAN.

I've tried using alias but it doesn't work.

I would be grateful if someone give some simple instructions.

Thank you

t says: Disable all off-loading settings in System->Settings->Networking

but it should say:

Disable all off-loading settings in   Interfaces->Settings
