We need to know more about your WAN links still. Are both those WAN links running to the same modem or different modems?

Also are you referring to your DHCP isn't auto-renewing on the LAN side or is the DHCP not auto-renewing on the service provider side?

Yes and No on the GNS3 question. As a binary image you'd have to write it yourself otherwise probably not. However this is a workaround in that you will need to run OPNsense as a host  node and then edit the available interfaces in the host options. I haven't tried that but I don't see why that shouldn't be effective.

If it fails, you'll need to get Qemu. http://nil.uniza.sk/network-simulation-and-modelling/gns3/installing-freebsd-junos-olive-using-qemu-under-win-7-64bit just follow the directions in that link. I'd be more specific but I've got very little time to finish this project I'm working on.
