I used this with the old version a lot. now I have to wait days for leases to be expire, it is frustrating. I want to see if a device is still active on my network. if I reboot opnsense it will just give the active valid lease so, rebooting does not work. If I had a button like before I can just delete the lease and see if the device requests again without rebooting. Also, when I add a static ip the dhcp lease stays.

Is there a way to delete the ip lease so I may better control my network? not having it seems illogical as it is very handy and useful to have.

Thanks in advance

After a few times turning the computer on and off, when I pressed the power button to turn it on from an off state it would turn on the led spin fans turn off and repeat so I guess it was the power supply and it finally gave up.So, you are right power issue it is. I have tested this with a power supply that I took out of another PC and had no issues. I have ordered a new power supply as it is a small form factor PC.

Thank you for your help.

on the console (direct on the monitor connected to the opnsense computer) I get an error "iflib_netmap_config txr 2 rxr 2 txd 1024 rxd 1024 rbufsz 2048", after this comes up 7 times a few minutes later a bunch of lines(not the same lines) scroll down very fast and then it reboots or shuts down.

Quote from: OPNenthu on December 22, 2025, 05:02:49 AMMaybe start with 'dmesg' output but I think there's a good chance this is a hardware problem.  Maybe thermal or power related, or failing memory?

thank you for the reply. I will look at the 'dmesg' output after I test the hardware items you mention. It seems to be failing quicker so, I am not even sure I can check the output before it fails. This is a small form factor PC and I do not have any spare power supply's for it so, I hope it is not the PS. I started a memory test as that was the easiest for me as of now.

hello all,

so, I have made a pc(9th gen 9500k, 16g, 250g spinndle hdd) my router. it was running well for a long time then it started to turn off randomly but not often. today it happened 8 times(I am currently tethered to my cell phone). I have logs turned on but not sure what to look for as the logs are a lot of lines. please someone point me in a direction to look for. I have checked the PC settings(BIOS) and did not find anything wrong. I have the fans set to increase speed with temp.

thanks in advance.

why is openvpn Server/Client ending support in 26.1. does that meant that it will be removed from opnsense? how will I connect to my vpn?

thanks
