An important improvement that the author added later was to change the way of interacting with BIND: instead of sending individual update commands for each record, the script will perform AXFR (Zone Transfer) on the zones (forward or reverse), compare the records, and then automatically add or delete records accordingly. This is more efficient and reduces redundant operations.
