Semi off topic: IIRC Omnios also keeps bootloader/EFI partitions up-to-date. In FreeBSD you need to take care of this yourself:
If your EFI partition is updated during a FreeBSD update, this is only done on the first disk. You need to cp/dd it to the second disk to have all consistent.

Hi,

maybe I've missed it, but I could not find any info if it is possible to add a second SSD to a DEC2770 to use a ZFS mirror as root?
Also of which kind is the internal storage? SATA, NVMe? Enterprise grade?
