Hi!
I am trying to set up Wireguard and ProtonVPN and am very confused.
I have a single flat network, let's say 10.1.1.1/24
Following the guide I appear to have a successful Wireguard instance and ProtonVPN peer. https://imgur.com/a/eNb0yPa
However, then I set up a gateway and it always shows as down: https://ibb.co/CKvycpHW https://ibb.co/1tPgPT4G
And for context, this is how I believe it works, correct me if I am wrong.
1. I set up the VPN instance
2. I set up the gateway
3. I use firewall rules such that the single host I want to route to the internet via the VPN does so, by connecting to my normal gateway (being OPNsense) and that OPNsense then reroutes this particular hosts traffic out via the VPN gateway.
4. I do not need to create a new subnet, VLAN, or change this hosts IP to a new subnet nor give it an additional IP in a new subnet.
