I should update my reply
I reloaded opnsense, enabled and downloaded the suricata rules
Left them at default which is alert
Created policy to drop whether it is an alert or drop
It is working fine
It blocked a scan earlier today
Love that eve Json file for recording trouble

I am seeing this message many times on my OPNsense console:

iflib_netmap_config txr 2 rxr 2 txd 512 rxd 512 rbufsz 2048

Is this a Suricata issue?

I have encountered this problem before. My solution is disabling Suricata.
