unbound is on port: 53053
ive upgraded to opnsense 26.1.1 and in my adguard, which redirect all entries to unbound - the answertime to unbound is growing up from round 70ms to over 750ms.
why??

is there an fix or solution or so?

Jetzt gehts auch wieder mit dem AGH Plugin vom OPNsense.
das Problem war in der tad der Port: 5353 vom unbound.

ich hab jetzt zum teil die config von Tuxtom007 verwendet
insbesondere den Port: 53053 fürn unbound.

Siehe da. alles läuft wie es soll.

Man ihr könnt euch nicht vorstellen wie glücklich ich gerade bin.

Ich habs bereits im Englischen Forum beantwortet.
Irfgendwie ist ein Fehler mit dem AGH plugin der OPNsense und unbound auf dem Port 5353.
Wärend meiner Tests hab ich mal AGH deaktiviert und unbound auf 53 gesetzt. Da ging plötzlich nslookup ..
Dann habe ich AGH auf meinem Unraid Server als LXC installiert.

Alles eingerichtet. und siehe da. alles Läuft wie geschmiert.

Somit fatzit. AGH PLugin und unbound mit anderem Port Problematisch

ive deactivteted AGH PLugin in OPNsense and set unbound back to 53. Then the nslookup runs perfectly with reverse and so.
Then i have install an LXC Container on my Unraid for AGH.
ANd so with all Changes. it runs pefectly. nslookup works.

I think there is an error in the opnsense plugin or in unbound with port 5353 or any firewall blockings.
i dont know.... but in my new cofig with extra AGH all runs.

Hallo, ich versuch es mal hier auf Deutsch, da mein Englisch doch arg eingerostet ist.

Zuerst das Problem, dann die Konfiguration.
Problem:

ich bekomme mit nslookup dns timeouts und so wenn ich sowohl interne als auch externe sachen abfrage. er sagt bereits dns error beim server.

So zu meinem Aufbau.
OPNsense mit externer Domain für ssl Zertifikat. und eine homenetintra domain für das lokale netzwerk.
In Adguard:

Upstream-DNS-Server

Code Select Expand

# Unbound
192.168.178.1:5353
# Domain
[/178.168.192.in-addr.arpa/]192.168.178.1:5353
[/homenet.intra/]192.168.178.1:5353

Fallback-DNS-Server und Private inverse DNS-Server

Als DHCP nutze ich Kea-DHCP Server und dort drin auch die interne Domain

In unbound hab ich nur bei DNS over TLS
cloudflare drin.
zusättzlich dynamic dns client für cloudflare wegen der externen domain für das SSL Zertifikat.

Ich komm so einfach nicht mehr weiter....

Hello, ive read so much stuff, but my errors with my config are so big.

I use Opnsense with cloudflare for server domain + https zert and dynamicdns cloudflare + cloudflare in unbound
now, i cant use nslookup from my lan clients wich are in an seperate domain...

my opnsense is the 178.1 in my private network

cloudflare domain is homelabs.ltd
localdomain is homenet.intra.

i use adguardhome with unbound ^^

in adguard ive set dns to my local server ip 178.1 with the unbound port 5353
reverse in unbound same

so, if i make an nslookup from my windows machine. dns error timeout.

i cant anymore.. ive no ideas left .
please help, if its possible.

Hello, at first sorry for my bad english.

Im new with OPNsense. at the Moment all seems to work, but i cant find my GameServer on Unraid in my local Network from outside.

I dont know, how i must config OPNsense to have access from Outside to my Gameserver and to find the over Communityserver. ITS an PALworld Server.

i hope port UDP 8211 was correct

Ich komm nicht weiter, bzw. weiß nicht wo ich anfangen soll.

Ich habe im Netzwerk auf meinem unRaid Server ein Gameserver mit dem UDP POrt 8211 am laufen.
Nun Möchte ich, dass man ihn übers Internet Findet und darauf zugreifen kann.

Es ist ein PalWorld Server

Was muss ich wo einstellen ind er OPNsense damit das klappt.
Bitte um Hilfe
