General Discussion / [Solved] DHCP - DNS Override not working
« on: December 08, 2023, 08:49:09 pm »
Sorry if its is a simple question. I have moved everything from PFSense to OpnSense but im struggling to get DHCP to hand out custom DNS.
Services -> DHCPv4 -> InterfaceName -> DNS Servers. Even though I have set this my internal PIHole DNS server, and do a release and renew, it never hands out anything but the default 8.8.8.8.
Am i missing a setting somewhere, that would allow me to hand out DNS alongside DHCP for a subnet.
[Solved] I had an issue with a Static ARP entry when i converted from PFSense that was actually causing an issue. Took care of that and DHCP/DNS is working as expected.
