Fixed it by updating to OPNsense 24.1.5_3.

Hi all,

This must be a new bug because I can't find any related info online or here on the forums. To me, it seems like the issue is with:

At this point, I cannot use Tailscale.

Turns out that I had to supply a password to encrypt backups in the Google Drive setup section. I had set it up without supplying a password. Opnsense did not issue any warning/error so I assumed that password is optional. It is not optional.

Thank you posting the solution! I ran into the same issue and supplying a password fixed it.

OK, thanks for feedback. Sounds like pkg{,-static} bug to me, I'd say unlinking and trying to refetch the broken package file would be a much saner behaviour than giving up with a cryptic error.

I had two "os-ddclient-1.18" renamed to "os-ddclient-1.18~753e302a6f.pkg2" and the upgrade finally completed.
