Hi all,

This must be a new bug because I can't find any related info online or here on the forums. To me, it seems like the issue is with:

Try to set MAKE_JOBS_UNSAFE=yes and rebuild before reporting the failure to
the maintainer.and

The entire log is too big to paste here, so I uploaded it to https://pastebin.com/ikHy8xM2. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Tried following this guide https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UBjswqONxTc but no joy.

At this point, I cannot use Tailscale.

TheHellSite has been incredibly helpful with both HAProxy and setting up a Postfix SMTP relay for me.
My scenario was a little bit complicated, and although I was able to follow up to a certain point, the complexity of my setup required me to reach out for assistance. Turns out that I had to supply a password to encrypt backups in the Google Drive setup section. I had set it up without supplying a password. Opnsense did not issue any warning/error so I assumed that password is optional. It is not optional.

Thank you posting the solution! I ran into the same issue and supplying a password fixed it.

OK, thanks for feedback. Sounds like pkg{,-static} bug to me, I'd say unlinking and trying to refetch the broken package file would be a much saner behaviour than giving up with a cryptic error.

You're welcome, and thank you for your suggestion! There’s no way I would be able to fix it alone.

Remove the offending file and try again?

Yes, that's how I resolved my issue! Thank you!
I had two "os-ddclient-1.18" renamed to "os-ddclient-1.18~753e302a6f.pkg2" and the upgrade finally completed.
