General Discussion / VIGI NVR having issue getting IP on VLAN
« on: July 12, 2023, 06:30:06 pm »
Hello all,
I'm a bit at a loss here. I'm trying to put my cameras on a separate VLAN because you know, cameras are great but also an unpatched mess that require IE. They are managed by a TP-Link VIGI NVR (which is also an unpatched mess).
I've created a VLAN for the cameras, and set a DHCP reservation for the cameras and the NVR. The cameras get their IP no issue, BUT the NVR, even if it appears to get the correct IP (checked in the switch interface), doesn't show in the leases of the OPNsense router. Impossible to ping it or interact with it.
As soon as I put the NVR back in the main LAN, no issues whatsoever. So ... what am I missing ?
Currently running the latest OPNsense, 23.1.11. All VLANs go through a single network adapter. OPNsense installed on physical hardware.
