I believe I may have bricked my DEC840 device. I inadvertently removed an interface, which has locked me out of the firewall. At the same time, I attempted to connect via the serial cable using the standard parameters (115200, 8, N, 1, N), but I'm not receiving any proper response. Instead, I'm only seeing garbled characters on the serial console.

Could anyone advise on what steps I should take next? Any help or suggestions to recover the firmware would be greatly appreciated.

On older opnsense systems I used "status /var/etc/openvpn/openvpn.log" in advanced server's settings.
I have to do the same thing with a new instance. Where
can I enter this parameter?

If I have multiple instances of openvpn running (three different servers, with three different subnets) how can I be sure that each openvpn process is running on a different core ?

I experience a problem with openvpn OTP:
the problem is when this file is executed:
/usr/local/opnsense/scripts/openvpn/ovpn_event.py

specifically this routine:

when executed the cpu is saturated, with the python process running at 100% and packet loss is experienced making the vpn unusable.

For now I solved it by changing the name "learn-address" to something that doesn't exist.

I got an opnsense DEC840 appliance to implement openvpn roadwarrio with OTP and Active Directory. At maximum load there are about 150 users.
OPNsense 23.7.7_3-amd64

With this configuration I have a packet loss between 5-6 % which I honestly find unacceptable.
In some situations there is a collapse. 12-20% packet loss
With older opnsense versions and same configuration we never experienced this situation.
I have always used virtualized opnsense, with the old versions, I have never experienced these problems.
I took the hardware appliance to make sure the problems did not stem from virtualization.

Having a businnes license, I ask if I have missed any best practices.
What do you recommend ?
