A subscription key is required, unlike community edition?

I have been on the Community Edition (CE) but want to reduce the chance of bugs and breaking things due to frequent CE updates. Although I want to receive security updates soon after release. It sounds like Business Edition is a better fit for me.

Can anyone advise on the best and safest way to update from the Community Edition to the Business Edition? Is there an easy, trouble free way to do it? Can you take me through the process? Or is it as simple as changing the target in the System>Firmware>Settings?

I need a 16-port smart managed switch that can do VLANS. I plan to have OPNsense do DHCP and route between the VLANS.

I don't have experience with switch hardware but heard good things about the Cisco 250 business series switch. Others have said they like Zyxel switches.

I was hoping for guidance on whether I should focus on one brand over the other. I'm primarily looking for quality, high-performing, reliable hardware that will work well with OPNsense

Would this configuration be a good setup?

4-port Protectli vp2410 model w/ quad-core CPU

I'm torn between whether to purchase the Protectli VP2410 or FW6A.

I prefer the quad-core of VP2410 but would like to have the 6 ports offered by the FW6A (but it's dual-core).

Anybody have any experience with these models or have feedback on performance differences? I'm primarily after very smooth 1 Gbps experience on network with low latency if anything gets saturated.

Details:
about 10 wired clients (video streaming, VoIP telephone) and about 6 wifi clients via openwrt access point
-is there any disadvantage from plugging a Linksys E8450 access point into a managed switch versus plugging it directly into the Protectli router?
