Discord is a good platform and not only for gamers – I use it at my job to communicate with colleagues because we’ve got a common server for the entire company.
The thing that I like there is that you can choose from a wide variety of bots that are going to help you with moderation. Learning how to use bots on discord is not difficult, and they can save you lots of time. They are smarter than you think, and you can make them activate functions that you personally need. It is something like programming but for beginners.
