tried these two commands on my system shell command line and the dev.cpu does not return any results. Just throwing it out there, please don't break all installs.
root@OPNsense:~ # sysctl dev.cpu | grep temperature | sort
root@OPNsense:~ # sysctl -a | grep temperature | sort
hw.acpi.thermal.tz0.temperature: 27.9C
hw.acpi.thermal.tz1.temperature: 29.9C
root@OPNsense:~ #
root@OPNsense:~ # sysctl dev.cpu | grep temperature | sort
root@OPNsense:~ # sysctl -a | grep temperature | sort
hw.acpi.thermal.tz0.temperature: 27.9C
hw.acpi.thermal.tz1.temperature: 29.9C
