August 09, 2022, 11:54:06 AM
Hello guys,

To help me to find a solution to problems with my captive portal, I have a simple question !!

--> Is it possible to configure multiple captive portal on OpNSense ?? :)

In the same way ... where is the captive portal page saved and generated? How it works?

Thanks a lot

General Discussion / Connection slow down
May 02, 2022, 04:35:32 PM
Hello,

I have a working OpnSense.
I can connect trough Captive portal and I'm authenticated.

Connection is perfect and access to internet is fluent.

But ... after some times, with same connection (connection stay open for a day) speed drop and access to internet is sslloooowwww  :o

If I disconnect and connect again, connection is again fluent ...

Any Idea?

Thanks a lot

Hello,

Is it possible to limit bandwidth per user or to a group of users?

I would like to do that because I'll have "standard user" who open session normally with no limits and others will connect using vouchers. For theses, I would like to limit the bandwidth.

Mays be more complex is to limit bandwidth to groups of vouchers I created. For instance a group G1 with 5 vouchers and want to limit bandwidth and a group G2 with 5 vouchers and want to limit to another bandwidth.

Thanks

Hello,

I have installed an OpnSense portal with vouchers.
I tried to login. No problem. Authentication OK

To see how it works, I marked the login/voucher as "expired" to disconnect the client.
And the client stay connected !
I tried to switch WifI off/on ... it connect again.
I "forget" the network, switch back, give a password ... and connected without portal template !!
I delete the entry ... no change

Finally, I change the Captive Portal template (other authentication) and ... YES ... I had to give credentials.

Strange isn't it?

Any explanation?

Thanks a lot

ps: sorry for my english ..
